Data Analytics Team Lead

About the role

emerchantpay is seeking a Data Analytics Team Lead to drive data‑centric decision making across its global payment platform. You will lead a skilled analytics team, collaborate with senior leadership, and shape the business intelligence strategy that powers our fast‑growing fintech business.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor, and manage the daily activities of the Data Analytics team, setting goals and conducting performance reviews.
• Partner with senior management to define innovative data use cases and steer the BI and analytics roadmap.
• Design, architect, and maintain robust data solutions using business intelligence tools.
• Work closely with Business, Product, and Engineering teams to define metrics, reports, and analytical requirements.
• Develop and support key datasets that deliver timely, actionable insights to end‑users.
• Write complex SQL queries for ad‑hoc analysis and ongoing reporting.
• Monitor existing metrics, answer critical business questions, and continuously improve analytics processes.
• Leverage AWS cloud services such as Glue, Redshift, S3, and QuickSight to build scalable data pipelines.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in Data, BI, Analytics, or Reporting roles.
• Minimum 2 years of experience managing a technical team.
• Strong analytical mindset with proven ability to translate data into business insights.
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
• Self‑starter, detail‑oriented, and able to work collaboratively across functions.

Required skills

• Advanced SQL proficiency.
• Experience with BI tools – QuickSight (preferred), Tableau, QlikView, Power BI.
• Data modelling, warehousing, and ETL/ELT processes.
• Familiarity with PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle, SQL Server.
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services: Glue, Redshift, S3, QuickSight.
