Data Architect – Databricks

About the role

Deloitte is seeking a senior Data Architect specialized in Databricks to lead enterprise‑wide Data & AI transformations. You will design and deliver scalable, cloud‑native data platforms that enable advanced analytics, machine learning and AI‑driven decision making for global clients.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end Data & AI platform engagements from discovery through production delivery.
• Design modern enterprise data platforms using Databricks, Lakehouse architecture, Delta Lake and cloud services.
• Define target architectures, integration patterns, governance frameworks and delivery standards.
• Collaborate with data engineers, data scientists, AI specialists and senior client stakeholders across international projects.
• Mentor and guide engineering teams, ensuring best practices in CI/CD, testing and infrastructure as code.

Required profile

• 10+ years of experience in data engineering, data architecture or modern data platform roles.
• Proven track record designing and delivering end‑to‑end data platforms or lakehouse solutions.
• Strong client‑facing communication skills with the ability to explain complex architecture decisions to technical and non‑technical audiences.
• Consulting mindset with experience translating business needs into scalable technical solutions.
• Excellent English and native Bulgarian language skills.
