Data Science Expert

About the role

PwC is seeking a Data Science Expert to join its data‑driven consulting team in Sofia. You will collaborate with data scientists, engineers, designers and project managers to turn complex data sets into actionable insights for clients across retail, financial services and technology.

Key responsibilities

• Work in multidisciplinary projects serving clients in Southern and Eastern Europe, Central Europe, the UK, North America and the Middle East.
• Analyse large, varied data sets from global organisations to solve real‑world business problems.
• Develop internal prototyping tools and optimise code for PwC’s Data Science accelerators.
• Contribute to client pitches, thought‑leadership content and colleague training.
• Continuously improve technical and communication skills through internal development programmes.

Required profile

• Degree in a STEM discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Quantitative Social Sciences.
• 2‑4 years of professional experience in a data‑science role.
• Strong knowledge of statistical modelling and machine‑learning techniques.
