Delivery Manager – Transit Technology Projects

About the role

We are seeking a Delivery Manager to lead complex transit technology projects from initiation through implementation, launch, and handover. The role focuses on delivering public transport software and hardware solutions such as ticketing systems, contactless payments, real‑time vehicle tracking, passenger applications, and back‑office platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end implementation projects, managing planning, rollout, launch and handover to operational teams.
• Coordinate delivery of ticketing, EMV/contactless payments, CAD/AVL, passenger apps, back‑office tools and related hardware.
• Oversee software‑only deployments and projects involving validators, ticket vending machines, onboard computers, retail channels, data integrations and agency setup.
• Own project plans, timelines, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions and status reporting.
• Collaborate closely with Sales, Product, Engineering, Field Services, Support and client teams across Europe and the US.
• Maintain clear communication with clients and internal stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.
• Identify delivery risks early, propose solutions and drive decisions to keep projects on track.
• Ensure smooth handover to operational and support teams after implementation.

Required profile

• 4+ years of experience in IT project, program, implementation or delivery management.
• Proven track record managing cross‑functional projects from planning through launch.
• Strong client‑facing experience with excellent written and verbal communication.
• Experience coordinating dependencies across product, engineering, field services, support and external stakeholders.
• Good understanding of Agile, Waterfall or hybrid delivery models.
• Analytical thinking with the ability to evaluate technical and business trade‑offs.
• Proactive, accountable and sound judgment.
