Experienced Audit Professional

About the role

Join PwC’s Assurance team in Sofia as an Experienced Audit Professional. You will work within a cross‑border group, collaborating with colleagues across PwC Europe to deliver audits for large international clients in sectors such as technology, renewable energy, healthcare and finance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform financial audits for local and multinational clients, ensuring compliance with IFRS, national accounting standards, US GAAP and emerging ESG reporting requirements.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, acting as a trusted advisor across various industries.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams and PwC EMEA offices to deliver high‑quality audit services.
• Mentor junior staff, fostering professional development and knowledge sharing.
• Lead project teams, manage deliverables and report progress to senior leadership.

Required profile

• Minimum of one year of experience in financial auditing (audit season).
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Fluent in English and Bulgarian; additional language is a plus.
• Strong analytical, project‑management and communication skills.

Required skills

• Knowledge of IFRS.
• Knowledge of US GAAP.
• Familiarity with ESG reporting standards.
• Progress toward ACCA qualification.
