Internal Audit & Controls Senior Associate

About the role

We are a leading professional services network seeking a Senior Associate to join our Internal Audit & Controls practice. The role offers exposure to a variety of audit and risk assurance projects, allowing you to deepen your understanding of client objectives, regulatory environments and stakeholder needs.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in internal audit and internal controls projects covering design and operating effectiveness of business processes and IT controls.
• Prepare process flows, narratives and risk & control matrices, identifying gaps and recommending improvements.
• Conduct and review tests of design and operating effectiveness, documenting workpapers according to quality standards.
• Monitor project progress, manage multiple assignments and coordinate project teams when required.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships and liaise with specialist staff to deliver high‑quality services.
• Provide on‑site coordination for clients, coach junior staff and supervise teams, reporting to senior management.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance or Economics.
• Experience in financial audit, internal audit or consultancy services.
• Professional certification such as CIA, CISA, ACCA (qualified or in progress).
• Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Analytical, organizational and listening abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
