IT Controls Consultant

About the role

Join PwC Bulgaria as an IT Controls Consultant within the Risk Assurance Services team. You will help clients optimise their IT control frameworks, assess applications, operating systems and databases, and support information security and SOX testing initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Review and evaluate client IT controls and processes as part of assurance and consulting projects.
• Conduct thorough assessments of IT environments, focusing on applications, operating systems and databases.
• Identify audit findings and communicate results to senior management and clients.
• Participate in projects related to information security, cybersecurity and SOX IT controls testing.
• Assist clients in strengthening IT risk management and internal control activities.

Required profile

• University degree in Business Informatics, Economics, IT or a related field.
• Experience with IT controls and processes (candidates without experience may be considered for a junior role).
• Knowledge of accounting and ERP systems such as Microsoft Dynamics NAV and SAP.
• Understanding of IT infrastructure fundamentals, including networks and databases.
• Proficiency in English and Bulgarian; German is a plus.
• Strong MS Office skills, particularly Excel.
• Excellent communication, organisational and networking abilities.
