IT Support Specialist – Sofia

About the role

Everest Clinical Research is seeking a proactive IT Support Specialist to join its Sofia office. You will ensure that all employees have reliable technology tools and services, enabling smooth day‑to‑day operations in a fast‑growing CRO environment.

Key responsibilities

• Resolve technical support tickets submitted via the ServiceNow Helpdesk portal promptly.
• Configure, image and deploy laptops to staff members.
• Administer Windows, Unix and sFTP user accounts and permissions.
• Perform patch management, applying critical security updates, system patches and service packs.
• Conduct regular log and backup reviews, and manage asset and inventory records.
• Maintain office equipment such as printers, fax machines and photocopiers.
• Create and update software/hardware installation and procedural documentation.
• Research and develop IT improvements to raise the department’s standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on IT support experience.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks.
• Familiarity with clinical‑trial environments, cloud infrastructure or VMware is a plus.

Required skills

• ServiceNow ticketing system.

• Secure File Transfer Protocol (sFTP) account management.
• Patch management and system update processes.
• Log monitoring and backup verification.
