Java Software Engineer (Hybrid, Sofia)

About the role

Omnissa is looking for a Java Software Engineer to join its fast‑growing team in Sofia. You will help design, develop, and maintain scalable, secure cloud‑native services that power the company’s AI‑driven digital work platform.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with engineering, product, UX and support teams to shape product features.
• Produce high‑quality software designs and code on schedule.
• Participate in design and code reviews, championing the “Dev Owns Quality” principle.
• Write and maintain automated test coverage.
• Provide support and troubleshoot production issues.
• Leverage AI‑assisted tools throughout the development lifecycle and validate AI‑generated suggestions.
• Contribute to evolving AI usage practices while respecting security and compliance.

Required profile

• Experience working with cross‑functional teams to refine delivery requirements.
• Ability to write technical design documents and conduct reviews.
• Strong understanding of cloud best practices and AWS managed services.
• Proficiency in breaking down tasks, planning execution, and following DevOps, Agile and CI/CD processes.
• Active participation in agile ceremonies and adherence to engineering standards.
