Junior IT Operations Supporter

About the role

Join Milestone Systems as a Junior IT Operations Supporter and help keep our environment secure and resilient. You will work within a highly automated IT Operations team, applying your technical knowledge to patch management, security remediation and risk mitigation.

Key responsibilities

• Execute and monitor patch management activities across systems and infrastructure, following defined schedules and escalation procedures.
• Support security remediation efforts by identifying, tracking, and resolving vulnerabilities in line with established SLAs.
• Contribute to risk mitigation activities to reduce exposure and strengthen the organization’s security posture.
• Operate within automated workflows, monitoring patching pipelines and remediation scripts, and intervene manually when required.
• Follow defined escalation paths, ensuring issues are routed correctly and resolved within agreed timeframes.
• Participate in on‑call rotation to provide coverage outside standard business hours.
• Document actions taken, especially when automation runs, to keep the team informed.
• Champion continuous improvement by identifying gaps, reviewing processes, and implementing enhancements.

Required profile

• Final year university student or graduate with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• Minimum of 1 year experience in IT Operations, System Administration or Vulnerability Management.
• Fluent English with strong communication and analytical abilities.
