Manager, Site Reliability Engineering

About the role

The Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) Manager leads a high‑performing team responsible for the reliability, scalability, and performance of our systems and services. You will drive automation, incident management, and infrastructure improvements while fostering strong collaboration between development and operations.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, mentor and grow the SRE team, promoting a culture of reliability and continuous improvement.
• Design and implement multi‑cloud reliability, monitoring, and incident‑response strategies.
• Collaborate with development and other SRE groups to enhance performance and scalability.
• Drive automation initiatives, including IaC, deployment pipelines, and operational efficiency.
• Manage observability tools for logging, metrics, and alerting.
• Define and maintain SLOs, SLIs, and SLAs.
• Oversee root‑cause analysis and post‑mortem processes.
• Champion best practices in SRE and DevOps.
• Ensure high‑availability and disaster‑recovery plans are tested regularly.
• Lead cost‑optimization efforts across cloud providers.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field.
• 7+ years of experience in software engineering, SRE or DevOps.
• At least 3 years in a managerial or leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of Azure, AWS and IBM Cloud.
• Deep experience with Docker and Kubernetes.
• Proficiency with Terraform, Ansible, Puppet or The Foreman.
• Experience using Prometheus, Grafana, PagerDuty, Graylog or similar tools.
• Solid programming/scripting skills in Python, Go or Bash.
• Expertise in CI/CD pipelines and modern deployment strategies.
• Excellent analytical, problem‑solving and communication abilities.
