Procurement Team Leader

About the role

Mitel is seeking a Procurement Team Leader to drive both operational and strategic procurement activities across the organization. You will act as the primary liaison between internal departments and external suppliers, ensuring cost‑effective, high‑quality commercial arrangements that support critical business functions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, support and develop the Procurement team on operational and functional topics.
• Define team strategy, set objectives and monitor performance against targets.
• Coordinate and prioritize procurement activities, ensuring efficient workload distribution.
• Ensure compliance with procurement processes, policies and governance standards.
• Manage high‑value procurement across the full purchasing lifecycle, including RFQs, RFPs, supplier evaluations and tender processes.
• Negotiate pricing, contracts and commercial terms with suppliers and service providers.
• Build and maintain supplier relationships and monitor supplier performance.
• Support internal stakeholders in defining business requirements and specifications.
• Identify and implement cost‑saving and value‑creation initiatives.
• Handle escalation topics and maintain operational continuity.
• Conduct market monitoring and analyze supplier and pricing developments.

Required profile

• 5+ years of experience in procurement or purchasing, preferably in a technology or service environment.
• 3+ years of experience leading a team or acting in a team‑lead/coordination role.
• Strong background in supplier management, contract negotiations and commercial discussions.
• Proven ability to manage RFQs, RFPs and sourcing processes independently.
• Excellent coordination, motivation and ownership skills.
• Hands‑on, structured and solution‑oriented working style.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
