Quality Engineer – Manufacturing

About the role

As a Quality Engineer at Danfoss' new Sensor Factory in Sofia, you will be responsible for establishing and continuously improving quality processes. You will ensure that products, manufacturing processes, and the Quality Management System meet the highest standards while supporting the launch and growth of the site.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS) and drive continuous improvement in line with ISO standards and customer requirements.
• Analyze manufacturing data and KPIs to identify improvement opportunities and enhance process capability.
• Lead structured problem‑solving activities such as root cause analysis, 8D investigations, CAPA, and implement sustainable corrective actions.
• Support customer quality activities, including handling complaints, APQP/PPAP processes, and translating requirements into production.
• Partner with suppliers for qualification, quality improvement, and incoming inspection planning.
• Support internal and external audits, maintain audit readiness, and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Manage calibration activities and collaborate with Production, Engineering, and Supply Chain to improve product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality or a related technical field.
• Experience in Quality Engineering or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
• Good English communication skills, analytical thinking and ability to collaborate across functions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of ISO 9001 (ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 are a plus).
• Proficiency with quality tools and methodologies: Root Cause Analysis, 8D, CAPA, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans.
• Experience with calibration management and audit support.
