ServiceNow Discovery Engineer – AI‑Driven Automation

About the role

AgileEngine is seeking a ServiceNow Discovery Engineer to join an enterprise‑scale squad that runs discovery across millions of infrastructure targets daily. You will create AI‑driven agents that analyse discovery logs, pinpoint failures, and suggest corrective actions, while also monitoring the health of MID Servers and discovery pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design and build AI agents that continuously analyse Discovery logs, execution results and error patterns at scale.
• Develop automated workflows that classify failures, identify root causes and recommend corrective actions for probes and patterns.
• Create guardrails and testing procedures for any production changes to Discovery configurations.
• Transform runbooks and troubleshooting procedures into reusable agentic workflows to reduce manual effort.
• Implement observability agents that monitor MID Server health, discovery schedules, throughput, latency, retries and coverage.
• Collect and aggregate metrics from ServiceNow Discovery, logs and monitoring platforms such as Prometheus and Grafana.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of hands‑on experience with ServiceNow Discovery, including MID Servers, patterns, probes and CMDB data quality.
• Proven ability to develop or modify Discovery patterns and troubleshoot complex failures.
• Experience with ServiceNow CMDB/CSDM concepts and data reconciliation.
• Familiarity with observability tools such as Prometheus, OpenTelemetry and Grafana.
• Upper‑intermediate proficiency in English.
