Site Reliability Engineer – Business AI Platform

About the role

The CF Backing Services SRE team within SAP Business AI Platform is responsible for the reliability of critical services used by thousands of customers worldwide. You will work on both Cloud Foundry and Kubernetes environments, applying SRE principles daily and leveraging AI‑first tooling.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in on‑call rotation, respond to incidents, and investigate production issues using log analysis, distributed tracing, and Kubernetes debugging.
• Monitor services through SLOs, SLIs, and the 4 Golden Signals, and improve alert quality to reduce noise.
• Automate repetitive tasks, create runbooks, and contribute to internal SRE tooling and AI‑assisted workflows.
• Collaborate with development teams on reliability improvements, knowledge sharing, and onboarding new services into the SRE scope.

Required profile

• Strong Linux/Unix foundation and solid networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/S).
• Genuine curiosity about distributed‑system failures and a proactive mindset to prevent toil.
• Clear communication skills in English and a team‑first attitude for shared on‑call responsibilities.
