Supervisor, Accounts Payable

About the role

Thermo Fisher Scientific is seeking a motivated Supervisor, Accounts Payable to lead its AP team in Sofia. You will ensure invoices are processed accurately and on time while maintaining strong vendor relationships and compliance with internal controls.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and develop a team of Accounts Payable specialists.
• Process invoices, purchase orders, expense reports, and payments promptly.
• Reconcile AP transactions, resolve discrepancies, and support month‑end and year‑end closing.
• Maintain vendor communication, address inquiries, and resolve payment issues.
• Implement and monitor internal controls to meet policy and regulatory standards.
• Analyze AP metrics, identify improvement areas, and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with other departments to streamline processes and enhance efficiency.
• Assist with audits by providing required documentation and support.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Accounting, Economics, or equivalent experience.
• At least 6 years of experience in accounting/finance, including 2+ years in a supervisory role.
• Experience working in Shared Service Centers.
• Fluent written and spoken English (B2+ level).
