Windows Server Administrator (French Speaking)

About the role

Akkodis is seeking a Windows Server Administrator who is fluent in French and English to join its team. The role involves ensuring the stability, performance, and security of Windows server environments while supporting business‑critical applications.

Key responsibilities

• Administer Windows servers (restarts, service checks, resource monitoring, Event Viewer analysis).
• Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts for automation and evaluation.
• Manage virtualized environments using VMware vSphere/vCenter and Hyper‑V.
• Troubleshoot OS, database, middleware, and network issues, handling alerts and coordinating with security teams.
• Support Active Directory standards, naming conventions, and delegation models.
• Process complex tickets, perform hardware diagnostics, and collaborate with hardware/data‑center teams.
• Handle monitoring alerts, service request emails, and ticket creation while adhering to SLA and documentation standards.
• Assist with call handling during peak periods or outages and perform additional tasks as assigned.

Required profile

• Fluency in French and English.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong analytical and investigative skills for server issue resolution.
• Proactive learning attitude toward new technologies and processes.

Required skills

• Windows Server 2003/2008/2012/2022.
• PowerShell scripting.
• Active Directory administration.
• Database experience (MSSQL, Oracle).
• Backup solutions (Data Protector, HPE StorageWorks, NetBackup).
• Virtualization platforms (VMware vSphere/vCenter, Hyper‑V).
