Employee Relations & Labor Law Specialist (Part‑time)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations & Labor Law Specialist to join a dynamic HR team on a part‑time basis (24 hours per week). The role focuses on Bulgarian labor legislation, employee relations, and HR compliance, offering a hybrid work model with two office days and one remote day.

Key responsibilities

• Handle employee relations matters such as disciplinary procedures, grievances, policy breaches, and misconduct cases.
• Conduct workplace investigations, evaluate findings, and recommend actions in line with Bulgarian labor law.
• Guide managers through performance management processes, including PIPs and corrective actions.
• Coordinate complex employee exits, terminations, and escalation cases while ensuring legal compliance.
• Prepare and maintain HR documentation (warning letters, termination paperwork, settlement agreements, etc.).
• Act as a trusted advisor on labor law, organizational changes, restructurings, and workforce transformations.
• Collaborate with Legal, Compliance, and external advisors on complex employment matters.
• Ensure readiness for labor inspections and maintain compliant employment records.

Required profile

• Proven experience in employee relations, labor law, or HR compliance.
• Strong knowledge of Bulgarian labor legislation and its practical application.
• Ability to manage sensitive cases and provide practical risk‑mitigation solutions.
• Excellent communication skills for supporting managers and business leaders.
