Planning Specialist

About the role

Join an international pharmaceutical and nutrition company as a Planning Specialist, managing production and supply planning across a network of suppliers and contract manufacturers.

Key responsibilities

• Act as the primary contact for contract manufacturers regarding production planning, material requirements and forecasting.
• Prepare and manage short‑term and long‑term supply forecasts based on a 24‑month rolling plan, sales input and business priorities.
• Coordinate and monitor production of bulk and finished products, ensuring timely availability, release and shipment in line with GDP and GMP requirements.
• Reconcile stock levels between the internal ERP system and contract manufacturers’ inventories.
• Allocate bulk quantities to customer orders and coordinate transportation for packaging or further processing.
• Maintain accurate ERP master data and key performance indicators such as yield, material consumption and OTIF.
• Communicate forecast demand to suppliers and support ordering and delivery of active pharmaceutical ingredients, excipients and packaging materials.
• Oversee warehousing activities and ensure accurate documentation for all material movements.
• Collaborate with Sourcing, Quality, Customer Service, Regulatory Affairs and Project Management teams.
• Participate in regular planning meetings and contribute to improvements in forecasting, supplier communication and ERP data quality.

Required profile

• University degree in Supply Chain Management, Planning or a related field.
• Several years of relevant experience, preferably in the pharmaceutical or chemical industry or with contract manufacturers.
• Strong planning and coordination skills with ability to manage multi‑stakeholder processes.
• Proactive, structured and solution‑oriented approach.
• Fluency in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.

Required skills

• Experience with ERP systems.
• Advanced MS Office skills, especially Excel.
