Clinical Research Intern - Contract Negotiation & Site Activation

About the role

IQVIA is looking for an intern in Sofia to launch a career in clinical research. The intern supports Contract Negotiators and Country Site Activation team members with entry-level administrative and operational tasks, including Clinical Trial Agreement support, contract negotiation processes and country site activation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support Contract Negotiator activities under guidance and supervision
• Assist with contract customization based on approved templates and sponsor/site requirements
• Help align and mirror legal and budget wording between studies, where applicable
• Prepare, format, handle and file documents, and track site responses
• Assist with e-signature workflows and follow-ups
• Maintain internal trackers and help prepare shipments to investigator sites
• Support regulatory document collection, site staff list updates and study file organization
• Learn to work with clinical systems such as SAW, CTMS, eTMF and study portals
• Shadow experienced Contract Negotiators and CSA specialists, and take part in team meetings and study discussions

Training and onboarding

• Structured onboarding covering Clinical Research, ICH-GCP, Clinical Trial Agreements and CTA budget basics
• Learning modules, trainings, workshops and knowledge-sharing sessions
• Study of FMV principles, CTA budget components and negotiation best practices
• Practical exercises, case studies and document reviews

Required profile

• Currently pursuing a Bachelor's or Master's degree, preferably in Finance and/or Law
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Attention to detail and good organizational skills
• Interest in clinical research, contract management, site activation or clinical trial start-up
