Fraud Operations Analyst – Night Shift

About the role

bunq's Fraud Operations team protects users' money by making fast, accurate decisions on fraud cases. Automation now handles the obvious cases, so the analyst deals with the harder ones: ambiguous profiles, mixed signals and calls with real financial and regulatory weight. The team is growing, and the role is a night-shift position.

Key responsibilities

• Take ownership of cases automation cannot settle, investigating ambiguous fraud cases and weighing behavioural and contextual clues to distinguish genuine users from fraudsters.
• Decide quickly whether to act, ask or escalate each call, protecting users' money.
• Use in-depth investigation and problem-solving skills to protect users from suspicious activity.
• Communicate empathetically and effectively, always thinking from the user's perspective.
• Feed insights back into fraud tooling so automation catches more cases and fewer edge cases reach the queue.

Required profile

• Knowledge of fraud monitoring and prevention.
• Close attention to detail and ability to spot subtle behavioural and contextual clues.
• Empathy and understanding of how to protect users' interests.
• Fluent English and excellent communication skills.
• Comfortable using AI tools and able to spot when an AI-based tool is being used against the company.
• Knowledge of KYC and PayOps is a plus.
