Head of Communications – Sports & Entertainment

About the role

Levski Sofia FC is looking for a dynamic Head of Communications to lead all internal and external communications for both Levski Sofia FC and Gemcorp in Bulgaria. The role will shape the public profile of the football club and its partner, ensuring consistent messaging across media, digital platforms and stakeholder channels.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement integrated communications strategies aligned with sporting, commercial and corporate objectives.
• Lead media relations, press management and executive profiling for both organisations.
• Oversee digital and social media channels, driving audience growth and real‑time communications on matchdays, transfers and club news.
• Manage crisis communications and reputational risk, preparing plans and responding swiftly to issues.
• Direct internal and corporate communications for Gemcorp, ensuring alignment with senior leadership.

Required profile

• 8–10 years of experience in communications, public relations or media relations, including senior leadership roles.
• Proven track record developing multi‑channel communications strategies and leading high‑performing teams.
• Extensive network of local and international media contacts and experience handling high‑profile crises.
• Experience in the sports, entertainment or media sector is desirable.
