Junior Financial & Sustainability Auditor

About the role

PwC is seeking a Junior Financial & Sustainability Auditor to join its assurance team in Sofia. In this hybrid role you will support leading European companies by combining traditional financial audit work with emerging sustainability assurance, helping clients meet evolving reporting standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct financial and sustainability audits for large corporates across sectors such as technology, renewable energy, healthcare and finance.
• Develop expertise in sustainability frameworks, map dependencies, identify bottlenecks and raise issues to clients.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to embed sustainability assurance into financial audit engagements.
• Assist non‑audit clients in designing templates, policies and controls for sustainability reporting.
• Analyse carbon emissions, climate risks and other ESG metrics and provide actionable recommendations.
• Stay current on sustainability research, regulations and technology to drive innovative client solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business or a related field.
• Proficiency in English and Bulgarian; additional language is a plus.
• Interest in sustainability, ESG topics and a willingness to learn continuously.
• Adaptability to a fast‑changing regulatory environment.

Required skills

• Progress in ACCA qualification (or equivalent)
