Manufacturing Production Manager

About the role

HITACHI ENERGY BULGARIA EOOD is looking for a Manufacturing Production Manager in Sevlievo, Gabrovo, Bulgaria. You will lead and optimise production operations to deliver efficient, high-quality and cost-effective manufacturing of energy products. The role is full time and on site.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee the entire production process, from raw materials to finished goods, keeping to production schedules and quality standards.
• Manage, motivate and develop a team of production supervisors and operators, promoting safety, continuous improvement and high performance.
• Implement and maintain lean manufacturing principles to drive efficiency, waste reduction and process optimisation.
• Monitor KPIs such as production output, quality metrics and cost targets, and take corrective action when needed.
• Work with R&D, Quality, Supply Chain and Maintenance to resolve issues and keep operations running smoothly.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, company policies and environmental standards.
• Develop and manage the production budget, control costs and allocate resources efficiently.
• Introduce new technologies and manufacturing processes to improve productivity and product quality.
• Hold regular performance reviews and give constructive feedback.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial or Production) or a related technical field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• At least 5-7 years of experience in a manufacturing management role, preferably in energy or heavy industry.
• Proven track record of leading and developing production teams.
• Fluent English; knowledge of Bulgarian is an advantage.

• ERP systems (e.g. SAP) and Microsoft Office Suite.
