Plant Utilities Engineer

About the role

Stomana Industry SA is seeking a Plant Utilities Engineer to ensure reliable operation, maintenance, safety and continuous improvement of the Water Treatment Plant equipment at its Pernik facility. The role reports directly to the Energy Senior Manager and plays a key part in supporting Bulgaria’s largest steel producer.

Key responsibilities

• Organize and control the technical condition and proper functioning of Water Treatment Plant equipment.
• Perform ongoing maintenance and repairs of plant equipment.
• Manage health and safety activities for supervised workers, ensuring compliance with regulations and company standards.
• Prepare, interpret and work with Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
• Manage maintenance schedules and participate in planned and emergency equipment repairs.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of new technologies, leading equipment modernization and process‑improvement initiatives.
• Prepare purchase orders and coordinate procurement and delivery of spare parts.

Required profile

• University degree in a technical field.
• Proven experience in similar positions.
• Familiarity with Bulgarian legislation (asset).
• Good command of English.
• Computer literacy.
• Willingness to work in a challenging industrial environment.

• Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs).
