Senior Accountant – Global Process Owner for AP

About the role

The Senior Accountant role owns the end‑to‑end accounting for Chaos CZ and other Chaos entities and acts as Global Process Owner (GPO) for the Accounts Payable (AP) process. Working closely with colleagues across the global business, the role combines technical rigour with a process‑improvement mindset to enable fast, scalable operations.

Key responsibilities

• Own the full accounting cycle for Chaos CZ, Macedonia and other entities, covering general ledger, AP/AR, fixed assets and month‑end/quarter‑end/annual close in line with local GAAP and group reporting.
• Serve as primary contact for external auditors, tax advisors and statutory filings.
• Manage local treasury and payment cycles in coordination with the group finance team.
• Define and maintain global standards for AP processes, harmonising workflows, closing gaps and driving automation in NetSuite and related finance tools.
• Support the Accounting Director with process‑improvement initiatives and contribute to ad‑hoc international finance projects.

Required profile

• Proven experience in financial accounting within an international corporate environment, preferably technology or SaaS.
• Hands‑on knowledge of Czech statutory requirements, local GAAP and international accounting standards, including intercompany and transfer pricing.
• Degree in Finance, Accounting or a comparable field; professional qualification (e.g., ACCA) is a plus.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken) and comfortable working across multicultural, multi‑timezone teams.

Required skills

• NetSuite (or comparable ERP) proficiency.
• Advanced command of Bulgarian GAAP.
• Detailed knowledge of IFRS and group consolidation.
• Ability to work with Cyrillic language data.
