Senior macOS Engineer, AI & Security

About the role

Omnissa is seeking a senior macOS Engineer to design and build advanced security applications and platform capabilities across Apple platforms, while contributing to a new AI initiative.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain security applications and system‑level components for macOS and iOS using Swift and Objective‑C.
• Build secure networking capabilities such as VPN, traffic tunneling, DNS security, filtering, and network protection using Apple’s NetworkExtension framework.
• Implement authentication, authorization, certificates, cryptography, Keychain, and secure credential storage.
• Diagnose complex issues involving network connectivity, routing, DNS, OS interactions, and performance.
• Integrate applications and security configurations with MDM/UEM platforms and perform design and code reviews with a focus on security and reliability.

Required profile

• Strong software development experience on macOS and/or iOS with proficiency in Swift and Objective‑C.
• Deep understanding of Apple platform architecture, sandboxing, entitlements, code signing, and security models.
• Experience with NetworkExtension, DNS Proxy, Content Filter, or related networking extensions.
• Solid knowledge of network programming and security (TCP/IP, UDP, DNS, TLS/HTTPS, routing, proxies).
• Experience troubleshooting across application, OS, and network layers and working with MDM/UEM‑managed Apple devices.
