Unified Communications Engineer

About the role

The Unified Communications Engineer acts as a global subject‑matter expert for enterprise voice, video, contact‑center and collaboration services. This maternity‑cover position designs, validates and transitions scalable UC solutions that improve reliability, user experience and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Lead design, testing, implementation and hand‑over of UCaaS, Microsoft Teams, video and contact‑center services across global sites.
• Serve as the technical point of contact for complex service requests, escalations and implementation issues.
• Participate in cross‑functional initiatives to evaluate new technologies, run pilots, define standards and manage lifecycle governance.
• Gather and translate business and technical requirements into solution designs, estimates, implementation plans and support models.
• Provide advanced troubleshooting, root‑cause analysis and coordination for telecom, network and video infrastructure problems.
• Produce documentation, runbooks and training material for Global IT, Help Desk and regional teams.
• Mentor junior engineers and regional IT staff, promoting consistent standards and shift‑left support.

Required profile

• Strong technical depth in enterprise unified communications platforms.
• Proven experience leading end‑to‑end solution design and delivery.
• Ability to work with global IT, regional teams, vendors and business stakeholders.
• Excellent analytical and documentation skills.
