VP of Finance

About the role

R77 Global is supporting its client in appointing a hands‑on Finance Director to lead the finance function and work closely with the CFO. Based in Sofia, the role requires the candidate to stay close to the ledger, reporting, controls and underlying numbers while building the team, systems and processes needed for international growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, structure and develop the finance team across multiple legal entities.
• Own group accounting and the complete financial‑close process.
• Manage consolidation, intercompany accounting, reconciliations and eliminations across jurisdictions and currencies.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, audit requirements and regulatory liaison.
• Oversee external accounting, tax, payroll and other professional‑service providers.
• Maintain treasury, liquidity, cash‑management and foreign‑exchange processes.
• Deliver accurate monthly management reporting and lead annual budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Strengthen financial planning, analysis and performance visibility.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Commercial and operational teams on finance‑related initiatives.
• Identify opportunities for finance‑system and process automation.

Required profile

• Senior finance leadership experience across multiple entities and countries.
• Full‑cycle accounting and strong financial‑control capability.
• Proven experience with consolidation, intercompany accounting and eliminations.
• Hands‑on experience managing statutory reporting, external audit and tax compliance.
• Understanding of international tax considerations, VAT, transfer pricing and withholding tax.
• Treasury, cash‑management and foreign‑exchange expertise.
• Strong management‑reporting, budgeting and forecasting skills.
• Experience with B2B commercial arrangements, preferably revenue‑share models.
• Demonstrated ability to lead and develop finance teams while remaining detail‑oriented.
• Recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
