VP of Finance

About the role

Our client is an international group operating across multiple jurisdictions and seeking a hands‑on VP of Finance to lead the finance function. Reporting directly to the CFO, the role combines strategic oversight with day‑to‑day responsibility for the ledger, reporting, controls and financial detail while building a scalable finance organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, structure and develop a multi‑entity finance team.
• Own group accounting and the full financial‑close process across legal entities, currencies and jurisdictions.
• Manage consolidation, intercompany accounting, reconciliations and eliminations.
• Coordinate statutory reporting, external audit, tax compliance and regulatory liaison.
• Oversee treasury, liquidity, cash‑management and foreign‑exchange processes.
• Deliver accurate monthly management reporting, budgeting and rolling forecasts.
• Implement and improve finance‑system automation and ERP solutions.
• Partner with Legal, HR, Commercial and Operations to support audits, due‑diligence and transaction requirements.

Required profile

• Senior finance leadership experience across multiple entities and countries.
• Proven full‑cycle accounting, consolidation and intercompany expertise.
• Extensive experience with statutory reporting, external audit and international tax (VAT, transfer pricing, withholding tax).
• Strong treasury, cash‑management and FX background.
• Demonstrated ability to build and develop finance teams while remaining hands‑on.
• Recognised professional accounting qualification or equivalent experience.
• Fluent written and spoken English and willingness to relocate to Sofia.
