Platform Development Intern

About the role

Join Bosch Digital's platform team in Sofia and take part in the development and operation of an open‑source platform service. You will gain hands‑on experience across the full software delivery lifecycle, from coding to production support.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain features for the open‑source platform service.
• Own the platform end‑to‑end, following a "you build it, you run it, you own it" DevOps mindset.
• Collaborate with a mentor and senior engineers to complete training and gradually assume larger tasks.
• Participate in team and project discussions, contributing to both technical solutions and soft‑skill development.
• Support internal enterprise requirements and external user needs.

Required profile

• Understanding of Java and object‑oriented programming.
• Familiarity with SOLID design principles.
• Basic knowledge of RESTful API development and client‑server communication.
• Experience with Git version control.
• Basic knowledge of SQL or NoSQL databases.
• Strong problem‑solving and debugging abilities.
• Good written and spoken English communication skills.
• Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
