Configuration & QC Specialist I

About the role

ICON is a global healthcare intelligence and clinical research organisation. It is looking for a Configuration & QC (C&Q) Specialist I to join its team at ICON Central Laboratories (ICL) in Sofia. You will help build and amend laboratory specifications within the clinical trial database (LIMS), supporting the development of new medicines and treatments.

Key responsibilities

• Assist ICL Project Managers and Setup Specialists in configuring and setting up the clinical trial laboratory database, ensuring accuracy and adherence to project specifications.
• Perform quality control (QC) checks on the clinical trial database and study documentation to identify discrepancies, inconsistencies and data entry errors.
• Work with cross-functional teams, including ICL Project Management, Setup Specialists and Scientific Affairs, to address QC findings and ensure data integrity and reliability.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in life sciences or a related field.
• More than 1 year of experience in clinical data management, data entry, a laboratory environment or a related role, preferably in the pharmaceutical or biotechnology industry.
• Legal right to work in the country where the role is based.

Required skills

• Familiarity with information management systems such as LIMS.
• Attention to detail and analytical skills, with the ability to identify and resolve data-related issues.
• Good communication and teamwork skills, and a proactive attitude with a willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
