Junior Application Manager - R&D Applications

About the role

AIXTRON, a supplier of deposition systems to the semiconductor industry, is looking for a Junior Application Manager for its R&D applications in Sofia. The role manages and supports several small-to-medium engineering applications and acts as the main IT contact for them.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and support multiple small-to-medium engineering applications
• Act as the primary IT contact for assigned applications
• Enable system availability, performance and lifecycle management
• Coordinate with vendors and internal stakeholders for issue resolution and enhancements
• Perform hands-on configuration, testing, validation and minor implementations
• Drive small improvement initiatives and optimisations
• Ensure alignment with enterprise architecture, IT security and digital strategy
• Support integration with PLM, ERP and adjacent systems where required
• Maintain documentation, governance standards and compliance requirements
• Proactively identify automation and efficiency opportunities and evaluate change requests

Required profile

• 3-5 years of relevant experience in application management in engineering, manufacturing or software-driven environments
• Hands-on mindset with strong problem-solving and solution-focused approach
• Ability to manage multiple systems and priorities in parallel
• Strong understanding of system integrations and data flows
• Good communication skills and stakeholder orientation
• Structured and independent working style
• Fluent business English
