QA Engineer – German Energy Market

About the role

regiocom SE is developing a SAP-based billing platform for the German energy market, supporting business-critical processes in a complex and highly regulated environment. As a QA Engineer you will work across the entire software development lifecycle, from requirements and design through implementation, testing and release, ensuring the platform is stable and reliable.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse business and technical requirements and turn them into test scenarios and test cases
• Create, maintain and improve test plans, test cases and testing documentation
• Perform functional, regression, integration and end-to-end testing, analysing results to spot risks and quality issues
• Work with developers and analysts in international, cross-functional teams
• Improve test coverage, test processes and QA practices, and support the automation of testing
• Promote a quality-first mindset and take ownership of assigned testing tasks

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
• Very good written and spoken German
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail and a structured approach
• Understanding of software development processes and the SDLC
• Proactive, curious and adaptable
• Advantage: previous SAP R/3 or SAP S/4HANA testing experience, experience in the German energy market, ISTQB certification or comparable training, API/integration testing, test management and defect tracking tools
