Senior Agentic AI Engineer

About the role

RingCentral is transforming its 1,300-person global technical support organization into a hybrid, agentic AI ecosystem, moving beyond traditional chatbots to autonomous, goal-driven multi-agent systems that reason, plan and execute complex support workflows. As Senior Agentic AI Engineer, you will architect, develop and deploy intelligent agents that understand nuanced customer problems, interact with internal systems and autonomously drive resolutions.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement autonomous, LLM-powered agents for complex support workflows.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines and tool-use capabilities so agents can access internal data, diagnostic and resolution tools and knowledge bases.
• Integrate AI agents with RingCentral's infrastructure, APIs and other enterprise systems using the model context protocol (MCP).
• Ensure high accuracy, low latency and enterprise-grade reliability, with observability, evaluation and guardrails against hallucination and execution loops.
• Serve as technical lead and individual contributor, setting best practices for prompt engineering, model evaluation and agent architecture, and collaborating with Support, Product and Engineering teams.
• Evaluate new foundation models, agentic frameworks and optimization techniques.

Required profile

• BS/MS in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence or a relevant technical field.
• 5+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 1 year building and deploying generative AI or LLM-based applications to production.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Strong Python for scalable, production-ready code.
• Deep understanding of foundation models, prompt engineering, RAG architectures and fine-tuning.
• Hands-on experience with modern orchestration and multi-agent frameworks.
• Vector databases, graph databases (for graph RAG) and cloud infrastructure (AWS preferred).
• Familiarity with agentic observability, tracing and evaluation tools.
