Technical Procurement Specialist - Prototypes

About the role

You will support prototype development and engineering projects by sourcing the right technical components, materials, and manufacturing services on time, at the required quality and cost. Working closely with engineers and suppliers, you will blend technical understanding with procurement expertise.

Key responsibilities

• Manage procurement of technical components, materials, and manufacturing services for prototypes, R&D, and engineering projects.
• Identify, evaluate, and communicate with suppliers, leading technical and commercial meetings on feasibility, pricing, and delivery.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, BOMs, and engineering requirements to ensure sourced parts meet project needs.
• Request, evaluate, and compare quotations based on technical compliance, cost, quality, and lead time, supporting commercial negotiations.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and suppliers throughout manufacturing and delivery, including sourcing alternative solutions when required.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Mechatronics, Electrical, Manufacturing Engineering or a related technical field.
• Experience in technical procurement, sourcing, engineering, manufacturing, or supplier management.
• Ability to use CAD software and interpret technical drawings, specifications, and BOMs.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, comfortable leading technical discussions with suppliers.
• Fluency in English.
