Manager, Mid-term Material Planner (Sofia)

About the role

The Manager, Mid‑term Material Planner will ensure that all packaging materials and ingredients required for CCEP Beverages production are available at the right time, quantity and cost. Based in Sofia, the role supports the production plan and customer demand by creating and maintaining an 18‑month materials outlook.

Key responsibilities

• Calculate and validate material requirements using SAP IBP based on the mid‑term supply plan.
• Generate an 18‑month materials plan and maintain weekly material requirement plans (MRPs) by material code, date, supplier and location.
• Share the materials plan with suppliers, sites, finance, procurement and other stakeholders to secure availability.
• Analyse inventory levels to limit slow‑moving items, avoid obsolescence and meet quarterly inventory targets.
• Identify, communicate and mitigate supply risks in S&OP meetings and perform root‑cause analysis on variances.
• Minimise raw‑material write‑off costs and support new‑product introductions with appropriate material supply.
• Build and maintain strong operational relationships with suppliers to prioritise product availability.
• Monitor key business indicators such as inventory turn, stock profiles and supplier performance.
• Participate in tenders with procurement, suppliers and production sites and maintain system parameters.

Required profile

• Proven experience in material planning, materials management or a related role, preferably in a manufacturing/FMCG environment.
• Strong understanding of supply‑chain principles, inventory management and financial drivers.
• Experience working in an international Western European environment; international exposure is a plus.
• Master’s degree in supply‑chain management, operations management or a related field.

Required skills

• SAP IBP or similar advanced planning solution (e.g., o9, BlueYonder, Kinaxis).
• Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
