Sourcing Manager

About the role

DHL is seeking a Sourcing Manager to support the development and execution of local and sub‑regional sourcing strategies. You will work closely with procurement teams and business stakeholders to ensure cost efficiency, quality, and supply continuity across assigned categories.

Key responsibilities

• Provide professional sourcing support for local and sub‑regional initiatives, including category‑specific procurement activities.
• Conduct market research and gather intelligence to inform budgeting and sourcing strategies.
• Support the development and implementation of category strategies aligned with regional and global frameworks.
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend qualified suppliers based on cost, quality, and service criteria.
• Prepare, support, and participate in supplier negotiations and tenders, including e‑sourcing activities.
• Establish and manage local supplier contracts, ensuring compliance and effective implementation.
• Maintain accurate procurement data in the relevant systems, including supplier records, pricing, contracts, spend, and project tracking.
• Ensure adherence to procurement policies and standards across business units.
• Update supplier databases, track performance, and identify new sourcing opportunities.

Required profile

• Proven experience in procurement or sourcing, preferably within a logistics or supply‑chain environment.
• Strong analytical abilities to assess market conditions and supplier capabilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to handle contracts up to €50k per year and support larger light‑sourcing projects.
