Quality Manager / QA & QC Manager

About the role

Puratos is seeking a Quality Manager to lead its QA and QC activities at the Pernik site. The role ensures that raw materials and finished products meet physico‑chemical specifications and that the plant complies with international food safety standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the QA and QC team, achieving KPI targets.
• Implement, certify and maintain a quality management system (QMS) according to GFSI and group requirements.
• Develop, document and supervise system procedures, policies and work instructions.
• Plan and execute projects to guarantee quality standards for raw materials and finished products.
• Continuously analyse QMS performance, report results to management and drive improvements.
• Monitor legislative changes in food quality control and integrate them into the QMS.
• Ensure compliance with GMP and hygiene rules.
• Participate actively in food‑safety audits and certification processes.

Required profile

• Proven experience leading QA/QC teams in a food‑production environment.
• Strong knowledge of GFSI standards, HACCP principles and GMP requirements.
• Ability to develop and maintain comprehensive quality documentation.
• Experience conducting internal and external food‑safety audits.
• Up‑to‑date understanding of relevant food‑quality legislation.
