Director of Quality Assurance (Global QA Leadership)

About the role

Acronis is seeking a senior leader to define and drive a global quality strategy across its product portfolio. The role oversees roughly 150 QA and Automation engineers in ten worldwide product teams, championing AI‑enabled testing, modernization, and a culture of continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a unified quality strategy, standards, processes, tools, and governance for all product lines.
• Lead a dotted‑line team of ~150 QA/AQA professionals, mentor managers and senior engineers, and build a competency framework focused on automation, AI literacy, and modern testing disciplines.
• Oversee functional, regression, integration, performance, security, and automated testing, advancing automation frameworks to support CI/CD pipelines.
• Drive adoption of AI/ML‑based testing, generative AI tools, and predictive quality insights.
• Partner with Engineering, Product, and Customer teams to ensure release readiness, manage quality risks, and improve release stability and predictability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
• 10+ years in QA/Quality Engineering or software testing, with 7+ years in leadership of multi‑product, global teams.
• Proven ability to lead in matrixed/dotted‑line environments and present executive‑level quality reports.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and business functions.
