Freight Services Operations Team Leader

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Freight Services Operations Team Leader to drive operational performance, develop a high‑performing team and ensure service excellence for an international partner.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach and develop a team of Freight Specialists.
• Ensure timely and accurate execution of freight and logistics activities.
• Monitor KPIs and implement actions to improve productivity, quality and customer satisfaction.
• Act as first escalation point for operational, customer, supplier and carrier issues.
• Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
• Drive continuous improvement, process standardisation, automation and operational excellence initiatives.
• Support workforce planning, resource allocation and talent development.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, logistics regulations and internal controls.

Required profile

• Several years of experience in logistics, freight forwarding, transportation or supply chain.
• Previous people‑management or supervisory experience.
• Strong analytical, decision‑making and problem‑solving abilities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Customer‑ and service‑oriented mindset.
• Experience in a multinational, service‑oriented environment.

Required skills

• Very good MS Office skills.
• Experience with SAP and logistics management systems (advantage).
