Junior System Harness Design Engineer

About the role

EnduroSat is seeking a Junior System Harness Design Engineer to support the design and documentation of electrical wiring harnesses for satellite systems. You will work closely with senior engineers to create schematics, drawings, and specifications while gaining hands‑on experience in spacecraft integration.

Key responsibilities

• Create and update eCAD schematic diagrams and electrical harness drawings using industry‑standard tools.
• Design wiring harness layouts with accurate connector pinouts, cable specifications, and signal routing.
• Support PCB design activities, including connector selection and documentation following IPC and ECSS standards.
• Collaborate with system and mechanical teams to ensure design requirements are met.
• Perform design reviews, validation activities, and assist with harness assembly and troubleshooting.
• Support testing activities such as pin‑out verification, signal measurement, and load tests.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical, Electronics, Aerospace Engineering or related field (recent graduates welcome).
• 2+ years of practical experience in eCAD or electrical schematic design (KiCAD, Altium or similar).
• Hands‑on experience with PCB fundamentals, connector selection, and test equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope, power supply).
• Strong attention to detail and ability to produce accurate technical documentation.
• Good communication skills and willingness to collaborate across engineering teams.

Required skills

• eCAD tools (KiCAD, Altium, Zuken E3, ePlan, RapidHarness, Capital, Arcadia).
• PCB design fundamentals and connector selection.
• Electrical testing equipment: multimeter, oscilloscope, power supplies.
• Understanding of electrical systems, including CAN, RS‑485, RS‑422.
