Mechanical Maintenance Technician

About the role

Join Plastchim‑T’s Maintenance team in Aksakovo to ensure reliable operation of highly automated manufacturing equipment. You will focus on equipment availability, mechanical troubleshooting, preventive and predictive maintenance, and continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical failures, identify root causes and implement technical solutions.
• Perform planned, preventive and corrective maintenance on production equipment.
• Maintain and repair mechanical components such as bearings, shafts, gearboxes, couplings, belt and chain drives, rollers and drive systems.
• Troubleshoot pneumatic and hydraulic systems and support their reliable operation.
• Identify signs of wear, vibration, misalignment and abnormal behaviour before failures occur.
• Participate in preventive and predictive maintenance activities and analyse recurring equipment issues.
• Support equipment modifications, upgrades and continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Collaborate with Production, Electrical & Automation specialists and external service providers.

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Engineering or relevant technical high‑school education with practical experience.
• Previous experience in mechanical maintenance of industrial equipment, preferably in continuous production lines or highly automated systems.
• Strong mechanical aptitude, hands‑on problem‑solving approach and ability to analyse equipment failures.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with cross‑functional technical teams.
• Motivation to continuously develop technical knowledge; English language skills are a plus.
