Medical Representative Team Lead

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Medical Representative Team Lead to join our international pharmaceutical and dermo‑cosmetics company. This hands‑on field leadership position combines people management, coaching and performance monitoring with extensive time spent in the field.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, motivate and develop a team of Medical Representatives to achieve business objectives.
• Coach team members in the field, provide regular feedback and support.
• Monitor performance, identify improvement areas and implement action plans.
• Ensure effective territory planning, customer segmentation and visit frequency.
• Support relationship building with healthcare professionals and stakeholders.
• Participate in recruitment, onboarding and training of new representatives.
• Collaborate with Marketing, Sales, Logistics, Finance, Trade Marketing and HR.
• Manage distribution of promotional materials, samples and tools.
• Provide regular performance updates and market feedback to management.
• Spend approximately 80% of time in the field alongside the team.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business Administration, Sales or related field.
• 3–5+ years experience as a Medical Representative in pharmaceuticals, healthcare or dermo‑cosmetics.
• Previous people‑management or team‑leadership experience with at least two direct reports.
• Proven ability to coach, motivate and develop team members.
• Strong understanding of field‑force activities, territory management and customer engagement.
• Good analytical, problem‑solving, communication and influencing skills.
• Ability to organise and prioritise in a dynamic environment.
• Good command of English.
