Medical Science Liaison – Rare Diseases

About the role

AstraZeneca is seeking a scientifically‑driven Medical Science Liaison (MSL) to support its Rare Diseases portfolio across Bulgaria. The MSL will act as the primary scientific bridge between the company and healthcare professionals, fostering trusted relationships and advancing patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Key Opinion Leaders, researchers and other stakeholders.
• Facilitate scientific exchange on clinical data, research findings and AstraZeneca products in line with local regulations.
• Provide medical and scientific insights to internal cross‑functional teams.
• Support planning and execution of local/regional studies, investigator‑initiated research and publications.
• Deliver scientific training and educational programs for healthcare professionals and colleagues.
• Assist with clinical trial activities, including feasibility assessments and site identification.

Required profile

• University degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences or a related life‑sciences field.
• Strong scientific knowledge and understanding of clinical research principles.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills, fluent in English.
• Valid driving licence and willingness to travel extensively within the territory.
