Project Finance Controller

About the role

Huawei Europe is looking for a detail‑oriented Project Finance Controller to join its Greece Finance Department in Sofia. The role partners with project delivery teams to ensure robust financial planning, budget control and accurate reporting across the project portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Interpret basic financial information from customer reports and support contract negotiations.
• Collaborate with project managers to prepare revenue and cost budgets, own monthly forecasting and monitor alignment with approved budgets.
• Review monthly project P&L, analyse variances, prepare financial operation reports and dashboards.
• Track payment progress for each customer and project, collect data from internal systems and publish regular reports.

Required profile

• Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Business Management.
• 2+ years experience in project finance, controlling or cost control, preferably in energy, construction or infrastructure.
• Fluent English; Greek or Bulgarian is a plus.
• Willingness to travel frequently within Greece and occasionally further afield.

Required skills

• Strong grasp of budgeting, forecasting and variance analysis.
• Ability to analyse trends, identify root causes and drive business improvements.
• Confident communicator who can constructively push back and partner with non‑finance stakeholders.
