Senior HR Manager / HR Business Partner

About the role

Flix is seeking a Senior HR Manager for its Sofia Hub in Bulgaria. This high‑impact position blends strategic HR business partnering with local operational ownership and offers international exposure. You will serve as the trusted HR point of contact for senior leaders across Finance, HR, Customer Service and Global Accounting.

Key responsibilities

• Act as primary HR partner to the Managing Director and senior business leaders, providing strategic guidance on people topics and driving performance management, talent reviews, compensation planning and organizational design.
• Own all local HR operations—including employment contracts, payroll interfaces, statutory compliance and HR administration—ensuring alignment with Bulgarian labour law.
• Lead change‑management initiatives, maintain business continuity and employee engagement during transformations.
• Navigate a complex multi‑stakeholder environment, aligning HR priorities with international People teams and representing Bulgaria in global HR forums.

Required profile

• Minimum 10 years of HR experience, including at least 5 years in a senior HR manager role.
• Deep, hands‑on knowledge of Bulgarian labour law, employment regulations and local HR practices.
• Proven generalist HRBP background across multiple functions and geographies.
• Experience coordinating or leading People Operations is a strong advantage.
• Fluent in Bulgarian and English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong grasp of HR operations: payroll interfaces, contract management, compliance and local HR administration.
• Confidence in strategic HR disciplines: performance management, talent development, org design, compensation, disciplinary matters and change management.
• Excellent multi‑stakeholder management skills at international and senior leadership levels.
• Ability to work autonomously in a standalone country setup while staying aligned with global HR teams.
