Service Sales Engineer - Motion

About the role

ABB is looking for a Service Sales Engineer for its Motion business area, covering the entire market in Bulgaria. The position reports to the Service Sales Manager and is remote, with travel required. You will drive service sales processes, generate service sales opportunities and secure profitable sales, focusing on the Installed Base of Motion products and the full Service product portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Penetrate the Installed Base, promote upgrades, retrofits and value-add solutions, and build long-term customer relationships while responding quickly to customer needs.
• Understand the channel strategy, set related prices, prepare and review sales plans, and propose recovery plans when needed.
• Execute workshop orders according to workshop processes and guidelines, and carry out onsite service activities, commissioning and preventive maintenance of drives.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on service activities, including findings, recommendations and actions taken.

Required profile

• Electrical, mechanical or automation engineer.
• Ability to develop and manage customer relationships, a collaborative and solution-focused approach, and strong written and spoken communication skills.
• Good level of English, written and spoken; Bulgarian is a must.
• Experience selling industrial products and services is a plus but not mandatory.
• Willingness to work under time constraints and to travel; experienced driver with a clean driving licence.

Required skills

• Sound knowledge of industrial automation products and systems: drives, motors, PLCs and instrumentation, including related tools and software.
• Knowledge of the industrial market in general.
