Cloud Security Architect

About the role

Paysafe is seeking a Cloud Security Architect to own the security architecture of its cloud and infrastructure landscape, focusing on AWS and Azure. You will act as the design authority for major transformation initiatives, including cloud migrations and moving regulated payment products to the cloud.

Key responsibilities

• Define and maintain cloud security architecture aligned with business and product strategy.
• Design secure AWS and Azure architectures for migrations, product transitions and infrastructure transformation.
• Act as security design authority across the delivery lifecycle, performing threat modelling and approving production architectures.
• Review architectures for risks and control gaps, agreeing pragmatic mitigations with delivery teams.
• Own cloud security standards, reference patterns and automated guardrails covering IAM, network segmentation, encryption, logging, resilience and policy‑as‑code.
• Ensure designs meet PCI DSS, DORA and GDPR requirements, including CDE scoping and segmentation.

Required profile

• Significant experience in cloud and infrastructure security architecture in complex, regulated enterprises.
• Hands‑on expertise in AWS or Azure security services (Organizations, SCPs, IAM, VPC, KMS, EKS, serverless, etc.).
• Proven track record securing large‑scale cloud migrations and application re‑platforming.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) and embedding security guardrails into CI/CD pipelines.
• Strong threat‑modelling skills and ability to assess hybrid architectures.
• Working knowledge of PCI DSS, DORA, ISO 27001 and GDPR as they apply to cloud design.
