Contract Analyst 1 - Clinical Research Contracts

About the role

IQVIA Laboratories is looking for a Contract Analyst 1 in Sofia. The role revises or develops contracts and related budgets and scope of work, ensuring the scope is clearly defined, budgets match the scope and changes are integrated into the main study contract accurately.

Key responsibilities

• Work with the Project Management team and internal stakeholders to develop budgets covering current and projected costs in line with study scope
• Spend most of the time with operational and finance colleagues updating and revising study budgets in Excel
• Assist in negotiating legal contracting text using IQVIA Laboratories' Contracting Policy, templates and fallbacks
• Develop and apply knowledge of IQVIA's business units so that contract terms suit every type of study
• Independently develop and review agreements such as Work Orders, GLSAs and Change Orders, and lead negotiations for assigned agreements with moderate to high support
• Follow up on outstanding contract and budget issues to meet internal and external deadlines and reduce business and legal risk
• Take part in process improvement initiatives for better global contract delivery
• Keep management updated on outstanding contractual documents and act as primary customer interface on medium, complex contracts
• Mentor peers, including pre-submission review of their documents according to Contract Management review guidelines

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in business or life sciences (or equivalent experience)
• 2 years in the pharmaceutical or CRO industry preferred, with contract management experience
• Ability to plan, multi-task and prioritize; proven ability to work independently
• Comfort in a high-volume, fast-paced environment
• Ability to negotiate
